JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 07-01-2025 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to correct the name of the petitioner in the cause-title. Permission so sought is granted. Needful be done during the course of the day.

2. The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Nawada to dispose of the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence on 11.12.2019.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same shall definitely be disposed off, within a

Patna High Court CWJC No.19642 of 2024(2) dt.07-01-2025 2/2 stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Nawada to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
