The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Makhdumpur P.S. Case No.200 of 2019, registered for the offence under Sections 147/148/149/452/341/342/354/ 323/324/ 325/ 326/ 307/302/120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. The informant altogether named ten persons including the petitioner in the F.I.R. and disclosed that on 04.05.2019, while the informant was at his house with his family members, accused Ranjit Manjhi and Uma Mistri came at the door and tried to outrage the modesty of his sister-in-law and on protest, accused Madheshwar Manjhi, Sanjay Manjhi, Munna Manjhi, Madhusudan Manjhi Anil Mistri, Lalu Manjhi, Rajdeo Manjhi and petitioner Minta Devi and 4-5 other persons, having armed with different weapons, came and caught hold of his father and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.77413 of 2019(2) dt.28-11-2019 2/2 on the order of Anil Mistri, accused Madheshwar Manjhi assaulted his father with iron rod on his head, due to which blood was oozing out from his head. Accused Madan Manjhi , Sanjay Manjhi and Madhusudan Manjhi assaulted his father with lathi indiscriminately. Thereafter, other accused persons also assaulted his father and all other family member of the informant, who came to rescue the father of the informant. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is lady and she is a handicapped lady from before. There is no allegation of assault against the petitioner, but it appears that the deceased got as many as 11 injuries over his body. All accused persons including the petitioner are also alleged to have assaulted the deceased father of the informant. Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
