Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already received the difference of arrears of salary and Dearness Allowance but no interest is paid to the petitioner on the differential amount of arrears of salary and Dearness Allowance for the period from 11.03.1999 to 31.10.2004 and also the differential amount of financial benefits admissible to the petitioner on grant of A.C.P. for the period 11.03.2011 to 31.12.2011.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the case of others, the Corporation has paid 6% interest on the

Patna High Court CWJC No.24955 of 2019(3) dt.20-12-2019 2/2 arrears of difference of pay and Dearness Allowance. It is submitted that petitioner may also file representation before the authority.

Having considered the submissions of both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Municipal Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation to dispose of the representation of the petitioner and if the interest is paid to the similarly situated employees of the Corporation, the petitioner be treated at par with others and the representation of the petitioner be disposed of within four months from the date of receipt of this order.
