2. The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case in connection with Lakhisarai Mahila P.S. Case No. 49 of 2023 registered for the offence/s punishable u/s 341, 323, 498A, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioners and the co-accused persons are alleged to have tortured the informant mentally and physically due to non-fulfillment of demand of Rs. 5,00,000/- and a motorcycle as dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner no. 1,2 and 3 are the mother-in-law, father-in-law and brother-in-law of the informant respectively. The petitioners neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners. The petitioner no. 1 has clean criminal antecedent, the petitioner no. 2 has one criminal antecedent and the petitioner no. 3 has two criminal antecedents as stated in para 3 of the bail petition.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the anticipatory bail petition of the petitioners.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the allegation being general and omnibus, let the above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court concerned, Lakhisarai, in connection with Lakhisarai Mahila P.S. Case No. 49 of 2023, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharitya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (B.N.S.S.).
