By way of this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- I) For issuance of an appropriate writ(s)/Rule(s)/Direction(s) in the nature of mandamus commanding the concerned respondents, for counting the period of discharge from service, te.. from 06.02.1995 to 21.03.2011 as extraordinary leave, on the basis of the order contained in Memo No.2886 dated 02.10.2011 passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Darbhanga as well as Memo No. 231 dated 03.08.2020 issued by the Inspector General of Police, Darbhanga Range, Darhanga.

Patna High Court CWJC No.17931 of 2023(2) dt.13-10-2025 2/2 (II) For counting the continuous service of the petitioner from 15.08.1972 till 31.01.2023 and for calculation of all the post retirement benefits, thereof, by treating the period of discharge from service w.e.f. 06.02.1995 to 21.03.2011 as extraordinary leave. III) For payment of all the post retirement benefits to the petitioner including the gratuity, GPF etc as well as recalculation of monthly pension and for payment of all consequential benefits thereof.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has prayed for the aforesaid reliefs, as mentioned above but the petitioner wants to file a representation before the respondent no. 3 for his grievances and he will be satisfied if his representation is considered and disposed of.

4. In view of the above, this application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the respondent no. 3 and if the petitioner files a representation before the respondent no. 3 then the same shall be disposed of by the respondent no. 3 within four weeks from the date of its filing by passing a speaking and reasoned order.

5. It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
