2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in Laukaha P.S. Case No. 144 of 2025, dated 06-09-2025, registered under Sections 20/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act..
3. A total of 67 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup, each containing 100 ml, equivalent to 6.700 litres, are alleged to have been recovered from a gumti ( shop) which does not belong to the petitioner.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. No incriminating article or illicit contraband medicine has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner.

The petitioner has no concern with the said articles or the Gumti (shop). Lastly, it is submitted that the petitioner, who has no criminal antecedents, has been in custody since 06.09.2025.
5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has opposed the prayer.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Madhubani, in connection with G.R. Case No. 79 of 2025 arising out of Laukaha P.S. Case No. 144 of 2025.
7. The application stands allowed.
