The short grievance of the petitioner is that his father made an application in favour of his appointment under the Bihar Chaukidar Swargan Niyamawali 2006, as Chaukidar. The application is pending consideration as per submission of the petitioner's counsel since January, 2018.
It is submitted that the competent Authority i.e. the District Magistrate, Gaya, (Respondent No.3) be directed to dispose off the same expeditiously.

The writ petition is disposed off.
If such an application has been filed, it is needless to say that the District Magistrate, Gaya, (Respondent No.3) was required to consider the same and pass orders thereupon in accordance with law.
Let the same be done within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
