Mr. Gyan Shankar ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 18-09-2018 The petitioner seeks a correction in the result card, issued by the Bihar School Examination Board of Bihar Elementary Teacher (Trained) Eligibility Test-2017 (BETET) to the extent the same relates to his father's name and his date of birth entered therein. In the said result card, father's name of the petitioner has been entered as 'Grivan Sah' and his date of birth as 06.01.1986.

It is the case of the petitioner that his father's name is 'Garivan Sah' which has been mentioned in his matriculation certificate, issued by the Bihar School Examination Board itself. The petitioner also contends that his date of birth as entered in

Patna High Court CWJC No.18660 of 2018(2) dt.18-09-2018 2/2 the matriculation certificate is 06.01.1987, whereas in the said result card his date of birth has been mentioned as 06.01.1986. Mr. Gyan Shankar, learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board, on the other hand, contends that thrice opportunity was given to the petitioner to apply for correction but he failed and now he has approached this Court for seeking such correction, which should not be allowed.

Be that as it may, considering the nature of correction, which the petitioner is seeking, this application is disposed of with a direction to the Bihar School Examination Board to allow corrections as being sought on behalf of the petitioner, on the basis of the entries made in his matriculation certificate, which has also been issued by the Bihar School Examination Board, and issue a fresh result card accordingly. If the petitioner approaches the Bihar School Examination Board, within two weeks from today, the Bihar School Examination Board shall complete the entire exercise within a period of four weeks thereafter.

This application stands disposed of.
