The petitioner has prayed for bail in connection with Magadh University P.S. Case No. 64 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per allegation in the FIR, 276 litres of country liquor is said to have been recovered from a tempo, which was being driven by one Govind Kumar Singh. It is further stated that on enquiry, the said driver disclosed the petitioner to be the owner of the said vehicle.

Having heard learned APP for the State and having gone through the records of the case, it transpire that the petitioner was not caught at the place of occurrence. He is in custody since 21.08.2019.

The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Excise Judge, Gaya in connection with Magadh University P.S. Case No. 64 of 2019.
