The present petition has been preferred for: issuance of an appropriate writ/writs directing the respondents to decide the claim of the petitioner for fixation of rent with respect to the land in question which is pending at the stage of D.C.L.R., Bikramganj vide Rent Fixation Case No. 1 of 2016-17. and/or to grant any other reliefs which the petitioner is legally entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case.

3. It is unfortunate that the petitioner preferred

Patna High Court CWJC No.24359 of 2019(4) dt.08-04-2024 2/2 petition before the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Bikramganj, Rohtas (respondent no. 4) vide Rent Fixation Case No. 1 of 2016-17 has not been taken to its logical, forcing the petitioner to move before this Court.

4. Even after lapse of so many years, today on call, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the same is still pending.

5. In that view of the matter, accepting the prayer of the petitioner, the concerned respondent is directed to take up the matter immediately and after hearing all the parties and perusing the records, dispose it of within a period of four weeks from today, if still has not been disposed of.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
