2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.

3. The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

4. As per prosecution case, complainant got married with this petitioner on 21.06.2018 but thereafter all the named accused persons including this petitioner started demanding dowry from the complainant and tortured and harassed the complainant for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

5. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner never demanded any dowry from the complainant and he has falsely been implicated in this case with an ulterior motive. As a matter of fact, the complainant developed illicit relationship with one Pappu Singh, who is cousin elder brother of the petitioner, and both Pappu Singh and the complainant are now living together for which wife of Pappu Singh has also filed a case bearing Gaurichak P. S. Case No. 347 of 2022.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner, in the event of his arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Patna City in connection with Complaint Case No. 675 of 2022, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
