Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 2050 C of 2017 corresponding to Trial No. S.C. 1330 of 2018 registered under sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, pending before the Court of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that at the request of the parties this matter was sent to mediation center, but due to illness the petitioner
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.76779 of 2019(3) dt.05-03-2020 2/2 could not appear before the mediator. As regards merit, it is submitted that nothing specific is alleged against this petitioner. As a matter of fact, the in-laws family wants him to become Ghar Jamai to which this petitioner is not ready and that is the root cause of his false implication in the present case. Petitioner is still ready to keep the complaint with due dignity and honour. Learned counsel further submits that at present the petitioner is on provisional bail. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 11.12.2019 is, hereby, confirmed.
