The petitioner retired on attaining age of superannuation on 30.6.2001.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that after completion of 15 years, the petitioner is entitled to restoration of full amount of pension w.e.f. 1.7.2016. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is also entitled to revision of pension on account of pay revision.

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent No. 6 wherein it has been stated that the office of

Patna High Court CWJC No.24617 of 2019(4) dt.22-06-2020 2/2 the Accountant General has already issued letter dated 6.1.2020 to the Treasury Officer, Lalganj, Vaishali for restoration of full pension of the petitioner with effect from 1.7.2016 i.e. the date of completion of 15 years of retirement.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents to ensure payment of consequential monetary benefits on restoration of full pension. It goes without saying that the respondents have to calculate the revision of pension and ensure payment thereof at the earliest preferably within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order failing which the petitioner shall be entitled to payment of interest at the rate of 9%.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
