The petitioner is in custody since 24.10.2018 in connection with Bagaha (Pathkhauli) P.S. Case No.517 of 2018 registered under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that only because it was suspected that the petitioner was having shortage in height in the selection process, which was conducted for appointment as Constable, the petitioner at the time of joining was taken into custody. It is further submitted that if at best, there was anomaly in the measurement of height, it was open to the authorities to take appropriate steps for cancelling her candidature or take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

Considering the aforementioned facts and circumstances, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of A.C.J.M.
