Petitioner is in custody in connection with Siwan (Mufassil) Mahadeva P.S. case No. 160 of 2018 for the offence under sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 307, 326, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant case is the offshoot of election dispute as informant of this case was Ward Councilor and the petitioner did not cast vote in favour of the informant due to which the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case.

He further submits that co-accused has been granted bail by the court below.

The petitioner is in custody since 6.4.2018.
