1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending his arrest in connection with L.N.M.U P.S. Case no. 27 of 2024, registered under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code and section 10 of the Bihar Examination Control Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, one Ravi Shankar Yadav was caught appearing in the examination of CTET, 2024 in place of the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is a bonafide student and had appeared in the CTET, 2024 examination at the centre M.M.T.M. College, Darbhanga on 21.1.2024. Even accepting the allegations levelled in the FIR, it

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.83791 of 2024(2) dt.13-12-2024 2/2 is against co-accused Ravi Shankar Yadav having appeared in place of the petitioner and there is no allegations so far as this petitioner is concerned. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

5. The application for anticipatory bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegation in the FIR of the coaccused Ravi Shankar Yadav having appeared in the examination in place of the petitioner together with the petitioner not having any criminal antecedent, it is directed that the petitioner above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with L.N.M.U P.S. Case no. 27 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Darbhanga.
