2. Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by order dated 23-03-2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 56287 of 2022.

3. The members of Seema Surakchha Bal (SSB) recovered 30 kg. of Ganja from a vehicle. Two accused persons including the petitioner were also present in that vehicle and were arrrested.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he was a guard deputed to look after an orchard situated nearby the place of occurrence and he was not involved in the alleged occurrence.

5. I don't see the substance in the submission advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, prayer for grant of bail stands rejected.

7. Learned trial court shall take all endeavour to dispose of the case within a period of one and a half years.

8. If the trial is not concluded within the stipulated period of one and a half years, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
