2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dumra P. S. Case No. 196 of 2025 in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the BNS.

3. As per the prosecution case, this petitioner assaulted on the head of the father of the informant with iron rod due to which he died.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Not a single independent witness has been examined in this case. Petitioner is in custody since 26.04.2025.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the bail application and submits that there is specific allegation against this petitioner that he assaulted the deceased on his head with iron rod. In the post-mortem report, doctor has found head injury on the person of the deceased. Hence, he does not deserve

6. Considering the nature of accusation, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, since petitioner is in custody since 26.04.2025, Trial Court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial, preferably, within a period of one year from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
