The petitioner filed this writ petition for declaration of the petitioner as life donor member of Senate, Lalit Narayan Mithila University in view of the provisions as contained in Section 18(13) of the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976. The petitioner donated Rs.1,01,000/- to the Principal, C.M.J. College, Donwarihat, Khutauna, Madhubani which is a constituent college of the University for development of the college in one installment vide College Miscellaneous Receipt No.6, dated 07.09.2016. Section 18(13) of the Bihar State

Patna High Court CWJC No.23671 of 2019(2) dt.29-11-2019 2/2 Universities Act, 1976 provides that a person who has donated one time or in installment one lakh or more than one lakh shall be nominated as the life donor member of the Senate. The University has already recommended the names of the petitioner and others to the Hon'ble Chancellor to consider the name of the petitioner for declaring her as life donor member of the Senate in view of the provisions as contained in Section 18(13) of the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976.

This Court in a similar case being CWJC No.1402 of 2019 disposed of the case with a request to the Hon'ble Chancellor to consider the case of the petitioner and take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for declaring him as life donor member of the Senate at the earliest preferably within three months..

Having considered the facts, I also dispose of this writ petition with a request to the Hon'ble Chancellor to consider the case of the petitioner along with the names of other candidates recommended by the University preferably within three months. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J) S.KUMAR/- U
