The petitioner is in custody since 28.09.2019 in connection with Parsa P.S. Case No. 295 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 272, 273 and 414/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 37(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation against the petitioner is that in the instant case, 50 litres of country made liquor has been seized from his possession.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name has surfaced on the confessional statement of co-accused Suresh Rai, who was apprehended by the police. He submits that the petitioner is in custody since 28.09.2019.
