The writ application has been filed seeking a direction upon the learned Bihar Waqf Board Tribunal, Haj Bhawan, Patna for disposing of the Waqf Appeal No. 13/16 (Syeda Begum Vs. The Chairman, Bihar Shiya Court of Waqf Board, Patna) within a time-frame.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ application has been filed seeking only a direction upon the Bihar Waqf Tribunal to dispose of the appeal which is pending since 2016 despite the fact that all the parties have
Patna High Court CWJC No.12265 of 2018(2) dt.07-04-2023 2/2 appeared, show-cause have been filed and the hearing is lingering. It is thus prayed that a direction be issued for disposing of the appeal within a time-frame.
Learned counsel appearing for the Waqf Board does not dispute the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Bihar State Waqf Board Tribunal to dispose of the Waqf Appeal No. 13/16 expeditiously preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
