The petitioner is the daughter-in-law of late Shanti Devi, who while serving as Assistant Teacher in an upgraded middle school in the district of Bhojpur, died on 25.03.2019. The petitioner applied for being considered to be appointed on compassionate ground as she comes within the permitted relationship for being considered for

The averments made in the writ petition only indicate that such application was sent to Respondent No. 3 by post and the information provided by the petitioner is on the basis of tracking record.

If the petitioner comes within the permitted degree of relationship for applying for such compassionate appointment, there is no reason why the application ought not to be considered and placed before the District Compassionate Appointment Committee of which Respondent No. 3 is the Chairman.

Considering the aforesaid averments made in this petition, this Court directs that if the petitioner makes a suitable representation / application before Respondent No. 3 for being considered for grant of compassionate appointment in order to provide immediate succour to the family of the deceased employee, the same shall be entertained and placed before the concerned committee

Patna High Court CWJC No.22662 of 2019 dt.04-02-2020 3/3 and a decision on her claim shall be taken as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of such application. The time schedule has been provided in this order keeping in mind the emergent necessity of taking a decision on such application for compassionate appointment.

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
