JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 12-12-2024 The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present case is to direct the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra to dispose off the pending Arms Case No. 64 of 2022, which has been filed by the petitioner for transfer of the arms license in his name, which was issued in the name of the father of the petitioner, who is no longer alive.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid Arms Case No. 64 of 2022 is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a

Patna High Court CWJC No.18937 of 2024(2) dt.12-12-2024 2/2 stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court. 3.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra to dispose off the aforesaid Arms Case No. 64 of 2022, in case the same is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
