In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Ramnagar P.S. Case No. 151 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

The petitioner has a single criminal case of the Excise Act. In the present case, the petitioner has been intercepted and 14.5 liters of foreign liquor has been recovered from his possession. The petitioner is in custody since 11.07.2019 in this case.

Looking to the facts and circumstance of the case, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed and he is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.75175 of 2019(2) dt.25-11-2019 2/2 two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Excise, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Ramnagar P.S. Case No.151 of 2019, subject to the condition that one of the bailors of the petitioner shall be a close relative. The petitioner will not induce any witness or tamper with the evidence. The petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court. If the petitioner would repeat the same offence in future, the prosecution will have liberty to file an application for cancellation of his bail bond.
