The petitioner is accused in connection with D.R.I. (N.D.P.S.) Case No. 06 of 2016-17 registered under sections 20 and 22 of N.D.P.S. Act pending in the Court of Sessions Judgecum-Special Judge, D.R.I. (N.D.P.S.) Act, Muzaffarpur. Earlier prayer of the petitioner for bail was rejected by this court vide order dated 01.08.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No 30736 of 2017 on merit.

On perusal of the report of the leaned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Muzaffarpur vide its letter no. 666 of 2018 dated 03.08.2018, it appears that trial is in progress.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.34977 of 2018(4) dt.29-08-2018 2/2 Having considered the above facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to allow the prayer of the petitioner for bail. Accordingly, this application is rejected.

However, trial court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of six months.
