The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Ekma P.S. Case No. 267/19 registered for offences under sections 467, 468, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

As per allegation, the police intercepted a Container ( truck) bearing registration no. UP 85X-9455, other details are there in the F.I.R., and one person, namely, Surendra Singh alias Sonu was arrested who has taken the name of persons involved in the illegal trade in which the name of the petitioner was also disclosed. In course of search, the police recovered 2610 litres of wine from the Container which was seized by the police.

Looking to the gravity of the allegation of recovery of the amount of illegal trade, this Court is not inclined to grant

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.79086 of 2019(6) dt.09-12-2020 2/2 privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner, above named, is rejected.
