Following reliefs have been sought for in paragraph 1(i) and (ii) of the present application on behalf of the petitioner: "1(i) For issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Respondents authority to issue passport in the name of the petitioner who has applied in the year 2017 about six months ago but till date neither the passport has been issued nor has closed the file. (ii)For further direction to the Respondents authority to either close the File No.

PA1061585804817 passing final order either rejecting the claim and for issuance of passport or reject the same so that the petitioner may apply afresh."

Counsel for the petitioner submits that due to certain inadvertent mistake, certain information could not be furnished on the part of the petitioner while making/applying his passport

On behalf of the Counsel for Union of India, it has been submitted that the first passport application of the petitioner has already been rejected by respondent no. 3. The petitioner has represented/made a second passport application vide Annexure4 to the present application giving detailed information as required under the law. But the second passport application is pending till date.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to represent/make a fresh passport application as per requirement of the statute before the Respondent No. 3 (the Regional Passport Officer, Bihar, Patna) within a period of 30 days from today. The Respondent No. 3 shall consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of making/representing of such passport application.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
