The petitioner has filed the present writ application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking relief of mandamus commanding the respondents for re-measurement of the height, who is above 165 centimeter, as required for general category, for the post of Forest Guard in department of forest and to include his name in the merit list of candidates for

Patna High Court CWJC No.23854 of 2019 dt.03-12-2019 2/2 appointment for the post of Forest Guard against Advertisement No. 01 of 2019 issued by the respondent No.4 Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), Bihar, Patna.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that after the advertisement of vacancy for the post of Forest Guard through Advertisement No.1 of 2019 by the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), Bihar, Patna. The petitioner applied for the post of Forest Guard and he appeared in written examination and qualified in the said examination. Thereafter, petitioner appeared in physical evaluation test, but he was disqualified showing him short about 0.2 centimeter to the required height of 165 centimeter. 4.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), Bihar, Patna submits that selection process for the post of Forest Guard under Advertisement No.1 of 2019 has already been completed and recommendation has also been made to the Forest Department. 5.
