A convict of a murder case, namely, Vikash Jha succeeded in his disappearance while he was admitted at Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College Hospital, Bhagalpur, while his other associate, Ayush Singh got apprehended and on account thereof, on the Fardbeyan of SI, Sunil Kumar Jha, instant case has been registered. It has further been disclosed therein that on interrogation, the aforesaid Ayush Singh shown active involvement of Amit Jha, Contractor, Akash Jha, Mahesh Paswan, Hawaldar, Siyaram Thakur, Home Guard, Dina Nath Singh, Home Guard and Ranjay Kumar Mandal, Jail Constable along with others.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.75711 of 2019(4) dt.15-06-2020 2/2 Gone through the case diary wherefrom, it is evident that there happens to be no concrete evidence against the petitioner, a Constable of jail with regarding to hatching conspiracy ultimately, leading to disappearance of the accused, though, other Home Guards, Constable were deployed as escort party to keep surveillance over Vikash Jha at hospital. Irrespective of the fact that Vikash Jha is still wanting, however, in the facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner, Ranjay Kumar Mandal is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhagalpur in connection with Special Case Vigilance No. 04/2019 arising out of Kotwali (Barari) PS Case No. 727/2019.
