That this writ petition is being filed for issuance of a writ preferably in the nature of Mandamus, commanding and directing the respondents concerned particularly respondent Sub-Divisional Officer, Saharsa Sadar, Saharsa to release the "GUMATI" of the petitioner which has illegally been seized."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies
