Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No.18 of 2024, registered for the offence punishable u/s 8, 18, 29 of the NDPS Act.

As per the FIR, the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is said to be involved in cultivation of opium plant over the forest land on large scale.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail. He submitted that there is specific allegation against the petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.87072 of 2024(2) dt.18-12-2024 2/2 for cultivating opium plant.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances and the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail on his behalf is hereby rejected.
