The writ application has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondent no.3, the District Magistrate, Aurangabad to implement the order dated 05.08.2025 passed in Arms Appeal No. 50 of 2025 by the Divisional Commissioner, Magadh Division dated 17.02.2025 contained in Memo No. 478/Arms of the District Magistrate, Aurangabad for grant of arms license for N.P. Bore Revolver/Pistol.

3. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 28.09.2025 along with an order dated 05.08.2025 passed by the Divisional Commissioner, Magadh

Patna High Court CWJC No.19570 of 2025(2) dt.11-05-2026 2/2 Division, Gaya for issuance of arms license but, the same is still pending adjudication.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that since the petitioner's representation for implementation of the order dated 05.08.2025 passed in Arms Appeal No. 50 of 2025 is still pending consideration, the competent authority is required to adjudicate the same by passing an appropriate order in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, this Court directs that, if there is no legal impediment for issuing an arms licence to the petitioner in compliance with the order dated 05.08.2025 passed by the Division Commissioner, Magadh Division, Gaya in Arms Appeal No. 50 of 2025, the District Magistrate, Aurangabad shall take a final decision on the petitioner's application for grant of an arms licence within a period of eight weeks from today. The order so passed shall also be communicated to the petitioner within the said period.

6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the instant writ application stands disposed.
