She has participated in the counselling held by Nalanda Open University for admission to B.Ed course on 29.07.2018. It is her grievance that her candidature is not being considered for admission to the B.Ed. course only on the ground that she could not produce the original degree of having passed graduation, though she had submitted before the authorities her provisional certificate in that regard. It is the petitioner's case that even while inviting for counselling, production of original/provisional certificate was the requirement and accordingly, the petitioner had produced provisional certificate since till the date of her
Patna High Court CWJC No.15918 of 2018(2) dt.13-08-2018 2/2 appearance for counselling on 29.07.2018, the University had not issued the degree.
Mr. Navin Prasad Singh, learned counsel, appearing on behalf of Nalanda Open University, which is the nodal body for conducting CET-B.Ed-2018, submits that there was certain controversy in respect of requirement of production of original degree, which has since been resolved after having received feedback from different Universities in the State of Bihar regarding issuance of degrees in favour of the students who had completed their graduation course. He submits that provisional certificates of the candidates, aspiring for admission to B.Ed course, are being accepted and the petitioner's certificate shall also be accepted, if she otherwise qualifies for admission. In view of the stand, which has been taken on behalf of Nalanda Open University, this application is disposed of with the observation that the petitioner's candidature shall be considered accordingly based on production of provisional certificate.
This application stands disposed of.
