1. Heard the parties.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Teghraha (Teghra) P.S. Case No. 247 of 2023 dated 06.08.2023 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.
3. As per the first information report a total quantity of 19.260 liters of illicit foreign liquor has been recovered from the place of occurrence near the house of one Nunu Babu Singh.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that illicit liquor has been recovered from the possession of Murari Kumar near the house of Nunu Babu Singh and the said Murari Kumar has

He further submits that the name of the petitioner has transpired on the basis of the confessional statement of the co-accused / Murari Kumar. He next submits that the petitioner- Pappu Kumar @ Pappu Singh has inimical terms with the co-accused / Murari Kumar and due to that reason he has falsely implicated the petitioner in the present case. He also submits that illicit liquor in question has not been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and / or premises belonging to the petitioner.

Regard being had to the submission made by the parties, taking into consideration the nature of allegation, the fact that illicit liquor in question has not been recovered from the possession of the petitioner and his name has surfaced in the confessional statement of the co-accused, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
6. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Exclusive Special Excise Judge-I, Begusarai in connection with Teghraha (Teghra) P.S. Case No. 247 of 2023
