====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 04-12-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 103(1), 109 and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant alleged that on 20.07.2025, the petitioner caught hold of the informant's son and the co-accused, Sanjeev Kumar, assaulted him with a knife.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is only that he caught hold of the deceased and it was the co-accused, Sanjeev Kumar, who assaulted the deceased with a knife. The petitioner is in custody
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.84436 of 2025(2) dt.04-12-2025 2/2 since 26.07.2025, and the charge-sheet has been submitted in this case.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.
6. Considering the nature of the accusation and the period of custody, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is allowed.
7. Accordingly, let the above-named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., West Champaran, Bettiah, in connection with Bettiah Muffasil P.S.
