2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 494, 406, 384/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. Allegation against the petitioner is that he along with other accused persons tortured the complainant and put pressure upon her to transfer the land of her mother in the name of the petitioner and when she refused to do so, petitioner sprinkled kerosene oil on her and tried to kill her. It is further alleged that the petitioner ousted the complainant from the matrimonial house.

4. Learned counsel for the O.P. No.2 opposed the bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.3549 of 2024(4) dt.15-05-2024 2/2 application and submits that there is direct and specific allegation of torture and harassment against the petitioner and he is avoiding his appearance for last more than 15 years before learned Magistrate and now after more than 15 years, he has filed this anticipatory bail petition.

5. Considering the nature of accusation, gravity of the offence and the fact that petitioner is avoiding his appearance for last more than 15 years before the learned court below, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is refused. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
