2. The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for offences under Sections 341, 342, 323, 307, 302, 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant alleged that on 17.10.2023, an altercation took place between children while she was cooking. In the meanwhile, the accusedpetitioners allegedly abused and assaulted her with fists and slaps, and later she was also assaulted by Khanti. As a result, she sustained injuries and later, during the course of treatment, she died.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82822 of 2025(2) dt.02-12-2025 2/2 petitioners are innocent and have been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioners are in custody since 11.07.2024.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the bail petition and submitted that the informant, Anita Devi, was badly assaulted by the petitioners and other co-accused persons, and subsequently, after giving her statement, she died.
6. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners, and the same is accordingly rejected.
7. However, since the petitioners are in custody since 21.04.2025, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Neha/- U T
