2. This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Kalyanpur P.S. Case No.129 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302 & 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The dead-body of the deceased was recovered and the F.I.R. against unknown persons was registered. The petitioner is in custody since 15.05.2023.

4. During investigation, it has come that the petitioner and other co-accused called the deceased, made him to take liquor and ganja and thereafter they took him to a deserted place and by tying gamchha in the neck, they have killed the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6648 of 2024(5) dt.09-08-2024 2/2 deceased. This fact has come in the self-inculpatory statement of co-accused Guddu Das.

5. Considering the brutal murder of the deceased, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail for the present.

6. Accordingly, this bail application is rejected. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial. If there is no substantial progress in the trial, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
