2. The petitioner is aggrieved by a part of the order dated 18.08.2023 passed in N.D.P.S. Case No. 15 of 2023 arising out of Kuchaikote P.S. Case No. 150 of 2023 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VIII, Gopalganj by which the petitioner has been directed to furnish a bank guarantee of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

3. The condition imposed by the Additional Sessions Judge-VIII, Gopalganj for furnishing a bank guarantee of Rs. 25,00,000/- (Twenty Five Lakh) appears to be onerous and, therefore, the same is being modified in the interest of justice.

4. The condition imposed by the Additional Sessions Judge-VIII, Gopalganj is modified to the extent that 'instead of furnishing a bank guarantee of Rs. 25 Lakhs, the petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1971 of 2024(2) dt.13-08-2024 2/2 will furnish a surety of Rs. 15 lakhs.'

5. The order dated 18.08.2023 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VIII, Gopalganj is modified to the extent as indicated above.

6. This application stands allowed.
