The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioner who happens to be husband of the complainant is said to have tormented the complainant over dowry demand and dropped the complainant at her maternal house in association of his family member.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that no
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63168 of 2018(5) dt.19-06-2019 2/2 such occurrence as alleged ever took place. The petitioner is quite innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner neither tormented the complainant nor made any dowry demand nor dropped the complainant at her maternal house. Now, the parties to the case have settled their dispute amicably through Mediation Center and the complainant is living with the petitioner happily. The Mediator has submitted his report accordingly in this regard.
In that view of the matter, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 24.01.2019 is confirmed and this application is, accordingly, disposed of. (Prakash Chandra Jaiswal, J) Trivedi/- U T
