2. The petitioner has moved the Court for the following reliefs:
"(i) For the issuance of an appropriate writ/order to the Respondent No.2 directing the provisional release of seized Vehicle bearing Registration No. BR24G/9861 in favour of the petitioner in connection with the Forest Confiscation appeal No. 50/2017 arising out of Dehri Forest Case No. 43/2016.
(ii) For the issuance of any other appropriate writ direction/order/orders as your lordships may deem fit and proper for the ends of Justice."

3. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the statutory appeal filed by him on 09.03.2017 is still pending before the District Magistrate, Rohtas.
4. Learned counsel for the State submitted that the officer be directed to conclude the proceeding.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner, if already not done, in accordance with law, latest within a period of two months from the date of production of copy of this order before him.
