1. The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present case is to direct the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari, to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license in the year, 2021.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case any application has actually been filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a fixed time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari, to consider the aforesaid

Patna High Court CWJC No.18943 of 2024(2) dt.12-12-2024 2/2 application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
