2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Alamnagar P.S. Case No. 268 of 2024, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 103(1), 61(2) of B.N.S., 2023 and 27 of Arms Act.

3. The case of the prosecution, in short, as per the informant is that on 04.07.2024 at about 03:45 P.M., her husband, Shiv Ratan Mandal was shot and his throat was slit by unknown assailants while he was out for departmental work. It is further alleged that all the FIR name accused conspired to murder her husband due to land dispute.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has

Nothing has been produced to dispel the prima facie view that the petitioner is a conspirator in killing of the informant's husband and he has been named only on the basis of suspicion.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer of anticipatory bail.

6. The petitioner has been alleged to be part of the conspiracy to kill the husband of the informant to a shot and his throat was slit. The petitioner is named in the FIR and a chargesheet has already been submitted against the petitioner.

7. Considering the grave nature of the offence alleged to have been committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the present anticipatory bail application stands rejected.
