====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 09-12-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 103, 61(2), 238, and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, the informant suspects that the petitioner killed the maternal granddaughter of the informant.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the informant is not an eye-witness to the occurrence. Only suspicion has been raised because the petitioner happens to be the stepmother of the deceased. The informant is the nani (maternal grandmother) of the deceased. In fact, the deceased had been missing since 19.07.2025. The petitioner, being the

No.84831 of 2025(2) dt.09-12-2025 2/2 stepmother and residing in her house with her stepson Aakash, tried her level best to locate the deceased, but during the search, the dead body was found on 24.07.2025. It appears that she committed suicide. The petitioner is a lady, claims clean antecedents and is in custody since 30.07.2025.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering that the petitioner is a lady and claims clean antecedents, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is allowed.

7. Accordingly, let the above-named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Siwan, in connection with Daraundha @ Daraunda P.S. Case No. 372 of 2025.
