2. Petitioner in the present case is seeking release of the vehicle TVS Jupiter Scooty bearing registration No. BR29BF7755, Chassis No.MD626EG55S3F24697 and Engine

3. It appears that the vehicle in question has been seized and a case bearing Hathua P.S. Case No. 297 of 2025, dated 06.10.2025 has been registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2022.

4. It appears on going through the averments made in the writ application that the petitioner has not applied for release of the vehicle before the Competent Authority in terms of Rule 12A of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Rules, 2021 (as amended up to date).

5. We grant liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application for release of the vehicle TVS Jupiter Scooty bearing registration No. BR29BF7755. If such an application is filed within a period of 30 days from today, the Competent Authority shall consider the same and pass an appropriate order thereon within a period of one month from the date of filing of the application. For the sake of clarification, it is mentioned that the petitioner shall file his application giving the correct registration number irrespective of the fact that in the FIR the registration number of the vehicle has been shown wrongly. The Competent Authority shall verify the fact with the I.O. of the case.
