2. This writ application has been filed seeking direction to the respondent Bihar School Examination Board to correct petitioner's date of birth by substituting '20.08.1988' in place of '20.08.1982' in the matriculation certificate issued by the Board in the year 2004.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board informs this Court that the Board has taken a decision to correct petitioner's date of birth on the basis of the evidence made available by the Principal of the concerned school. In view of the said decision, the petitioner's grievance has been redressed. She has also stated on the basis of

Patna High Court CWJC No.21740 of 2018(3) dt.17-12-2018 2/2 the instruction which she has received that once the petitioner deposits his original matriculation certificate with the Board which has been received by him containing his incorrect date of birth with requisite fee of Rs. 400/-, the Board shall issue immediately thereafter, the petitioner's correct matriculation certificate.

In view of the stand taken on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board this writ application is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner deposits his original matriculation certificate which was earlier issued in his favour with requisite fee of Rs. 400/- for correction of date of birth, his corrected certificate must be issued within four weeks thereafter.
