NILU AGRAWAL ORAL ORDER 11-01-2019 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsels appearing on behalf of the State and the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna.

Petitioner seeks payment of GPF amount for the work charge period from March, 1987 to December, 1998 which has not been paid to him. The petitioner retired from the post of Chowkidar on 31.01.2014.

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of

Patna High Court CWJC No.20962 of 2018(2) dt.11-01-2019 2/2 respondent no.6, the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Department, Government of Bihar, Bhabua wherein at para-6, it has been stated that the GPF for the work charge period between 1987 to 1998 has been calculated along with interest from the year 1985 to October, 2018 which comes to the tune of Rs.1,08,847/-.

Under such circumstances and the statements made in the counter affidavit, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.6, the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Department, Government of Bihar, Bhabua to make payment of the calculated dues of GPF as stated in para-6 within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
