Petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 130 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 414, 272, 273, 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a)/38(i)/41(2) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Informant has alleged that four persons were apprehended from a Pick-up Van carrying illegal 795 liters of country made foreign liquor.

It has been submitted that petitioner was not apprehended on the spot but his name has surfaced in this case on the basis of confession made by one of the co-accused. Considering the aforesaid fact and circumstances of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.68288 of 2018(2) dt.28-11-2018 2/2 the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise, East Champaran, Motihari, in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 130 of 2018.
