The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Bihar P.S. Case No. 496 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 30/30(A) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation is regarding recovery of 117 liters of illicit liquor from a Scorpio vehicle belonging to the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner is having a clean antecedent and is languishing in custody since 20.11.2019. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.83146 of 2019(3) dt.13-01-2020 2/2 case and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to direct for release of the petitioner on regular bail.

Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on regular bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 3rd Additional District & Sessions Judge cum Special Judge Excise, Nalanda (Bihar Sharif) in connection with Bihar P.S. Case No. 496 of 2018.
