This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Hajipur (Excise) P.S. Case No.454 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii) of the N.D.P.S. Act.

The recovery is of 18 kgs. of ganja from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 17.07.2023.

Considering the quantum of ganja recovered from the possession of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail. Accordingly, this application is accordingly rejected.

The trial court is directed to expedite the trial

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1919 of 2024(2) dt.18-01-2024 2/2 and conclude the same as early as possible. In case, there is delay in trail not attributable to the petitioner, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
